The Surgical Supply Tech III provides advanced support and leadership within Supply Chain Operations for Invasive Services (OR, SGM, Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology). This role oversees daily workflow for Surgical Supply Technicians, manages complex inventory and logistics processes, and ensures critical supplies, equipment, implants, and patient‑specific items are available when needed. The position also partners with clinical departments to optimize par levels, improve supply chain efficiency, and support cost‑saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations for Surgical Supply Technicians, including task assignment, workflow coordination, and schedule support.
Train staff on EPIC, Par Excellence, Q‑Sight, Workday MMIS, and inventory best practices.
Resolve supply issues, backorders, and case cart discrepancies; collaborate with clinical and supply chain partners.
Manage inventory levels, replenishment, and distribution across clinical and surgical areas.
Support par‑level management, product standardization, and cost‑reduction efforts.
Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards, tissue tracking regulations, and safety initiatives.
Conduct audits, generate reports, and participate in quality improvement projects.
Provide backup coverage for Supply Chain Techs, including weekends/holidays as needed.
Education
High School Diploma/GED/HSED required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience
5+ years supply chain experience in healthcare or service organizations required
Leadership experience preferred
MMIS experience preferred
Skills & Requirements
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word
Acceptable driving record; insurable under CHHS carrier
Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
