🌟 Supply Chain Technician – Invasive Services

Become an essential part of the team that keeps critical clinical areas running seamlessly. Under the direction of Supply Chain Leadership, you’ll support Surgical Services, the Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and the Surgicenter by ensuring supplies are ordered, received, stocked, and delivered with precision. Your work directly supports patient care and the clinicians who depend on you every day.

🛠️ What You’ll Do

  • Perform accurate, timely replenishment and distribution of supplies using the materials management system.

  • Organize, label, and maintain supply locations to meet clinical needs and support inventory control standards.

  • Deliver supplies—including disposables, implants, grafts, tissue, and minor equipment—on schedule and monitor usage to ensure availability.

  • Rotate products to reduce expirations and maintain complete documentation for all ordered, received, and returned items.

  • Understand the full lifecycle of supply movement—from sourcing to usage and replenishment.

  • Conduct perpetual inventory counts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate quantities in par areas.

  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient work environment.

📦 Legacy Responsibilities

  • Verify product condition, catalog numbers, quantities, sizes, and expiration dates.

  • Track supply data such as backorders, recalls, lot numbers, and manufacturer details.

  • Pick and assemble case carts based on pick lists and doctor preference cards; communicate shortages and collaborate with Sterile Processing and Supply Chain Consultants.

  • Restock unused surgical supplies and transport case carts to OR locations.

  • Participate in on‑call rotation as needed (may apply to casual employees).

  • 🌙 3rd Shift Only: Fulfill phone/computer orders for blood, specimens, equipment, supplies, and linen; prioritize STAT, ROUTINE, and TIMED requests; complete documentation; maintain cart‑restocking skills; initiate warehouse on‑call procedures when needed.

🎓 What You Bring

Education

  • Associate’s degree required.

Experience

  • 2+ years of relevant experience required.

  • Experience with automated MMIS systems strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft MMIS, Par Excellence, Q‑Sight, or similar systems is a plus.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while communicating clearly and professionally.

  • Comfortable working discreetly around patients, visitors, and clinical staff.

  • Proficient with supply management tools such as hand trucks, dollies, balers, handheld scanners, computers, and barcode printers.

  • High sense of accountability, service orientation, and responsiveness to the fast pace of surgical services.

  • Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
