Position Summary:
Join our surgical services team to ensure seamless coordination of procedures and exceptional patient care. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will manage surgical schedules, verify documentation, and collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to support safe, efficient operations.

Coordinate surgical schedules across multiple departments
Partner with physicians, clinical staff, and ancillary teams
Work in a fast-paced, mission-driven hospital setting
What You Will Do:
Maintain accurate surgery schedules and monitor for errors
Communicate with physician offices to align surgeon availability
Verify orders for completeness and medical necessity
Coordinate staffing, equipment, and supply needs for scheduled procedures
Ensure compliance with Medicare, ABN, CPT coding, and insurance requirements
Collaborate with departments such as Surgery, Cath Lab, Infusion Center, and Pre-Surgical Testing
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain confidentiality
What You Will Need:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 2 years of experience in medical scheduling or related field
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and surgical procedures
Familiarity with insurance authorization and pre-certification processes
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with computer systems and scheduling software
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a physician office or hospital setting
Knowledge of third-party payor policies and CMS guidelines
