Salary Range: $169279 - $197200 Per Year

Job Summary: This position is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. This position is for DISA White House Communications Agency at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia. This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

Major Duties:

  • Leads multi-disciplinary division of civilian, military, and contractor personnel and oversees performance management, workforce development, and organizational structuring to support enterprise network infrastructure, engineering, and operations.
  • Serves as principal technical advisor to senior command leadership on all network and infrastructure matters and provides guidance to ensure global communication capabilities meet mission-critical requirements and support command and control.
  • Manages high priority network initiatives across engineering lifecycles, evaluates and translates new requirements into engineered solutions, ensures current and emerging systems possess redundancy, maintenance support, lifecycle replacement plans.
  • Drives long-range strategic vision for networks and infrastructure, develops policy and oversees entire engineering lifecycle from requirements analysis and design to modernization and replacement.
  • Oversees division CORs, approving technical requirements and costs, directs POM submissions supporting lifecycle management and continuous modernization of global network and infrastructure.

Qualifications: In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirements: Attention to Detail - Experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards. Customer Service - Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs. Oral Communication - Briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience. Problem Solving - Identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in information technology systems analysis, project management, or network administration principles, concepts, or practices, sufficient to manage complex, multi-classification enterprise-level systems or provide expert technical consultation to senior level leadership.
