Salary Range: $106437 - $158322 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a SUPV HR SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/COMPENSATION) in the Talent Acquisition and Staffing West Directorate of OFFICE OF CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS.

Major Duties:

  • You will direct and manage a team of Human Resources (HR) Specialists and Assistants by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, providing guidance and development opportunities.
  • You will ensure timely and accurate service delivery to meet the staffing and compensation needs of assigned customers.
  • You will serve as a technical expert in recruitment, staffing, and compensation interpreting and applying to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Department of War (DoW), and Department of Navy (DoN) directives to advise employees and customers.
  • You will partner strategically with customers to analyze workforce trends, forecast staffing requirements, and develop and implement innovative HR strategies to ensure customer Commands are adequately staffed to meet mission requirements.
  • You will lead or participate in special projects and studies to identify and resolve complex HR issues, improve internal processes, implement corporate initiatives, and ensure consistency in recruitment and staffing rules, regulations, and policies.
  • You will ensure the delivery of high quality HR services by conducting policy and process reviews, analyzing technical work completed, performing quality control, and providing constructive feedback and training to improve performance.
  • You will ensure compliance with applicable OPM/DoW/DoN regulations by supporting audits, assessments, and assist visits related to pay, personnel actions, and personnel records, taking corrective actions as required.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing advice and guidance on staffing/recruitment or compensation methods and procedures, to include assessing and developing Human Resources (HR) work methods or processes while ensuring compliance with Federal Human Resource laws or regulations.
