Hourly Rate: £12.94 an hour

About the Role:
We are looking for a Support Worker to join our team based in Falkirk for a specific gentleman. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Support Worker to support our service user to live an independent life and to enjoy social activities in the community.
Our service user lives in his own tenancy with 24hr support.
A typical day will include support with medication, personal, oral care and ensuring that appropriate clothes are selected for the day ahead.
He can make choices regarding his meals but requires support to prepare his food and serve this to him.
Our Support Workers experience variety and a huge sense of reward and achievement in their daily activities where no two days are the same and we place huge emphasis on the fact that our customers are individuals, at Mears Supported Living we feel everyone deserves to be treated as such.
About them:
Our Service user has an acquired brain injury, has pleural plaques and poor mobility, he is able to mobilise with the use of his walking frame within his home but will use a wheelchair when accessing the community. Due to the acquired brain injury conversation can be repetitive, so patience is a must.
This is a 1-1 support service at home with the aim of getting him out into the community. He has his own mobility car, so we are looking for someone that has a diving license so this can be utilised.
He is an easy go lucky gentleman who would like to get out in the community when he can. Accessing the community could be limited as he cannot sit for long period of times and does not like busy places like shops, cafes etc so quieter places is preferred. Family very important to him and visit regularly.
