Job Summary: This position is located at the Global Veterinary Medical Practice at Aberdeen Proving Ground South (Edgewood, MD).

Major Duties:

  • Plans and carries out assignments related to various program management support functions of the organization such as matters of budget, office automation, logistics, supply, and government purchases.
  • Assists with supply and logistics, general and office administrative functions, correspondence, briefings, special projects and studies, and internal control actions.
  • Creates and manages various databases for information gathering and reporting for evaluation purposes.
  • Serves as the Information Technology (IT) point of contact and provides guidance and support to Army Veterinary Services personnel.
  • Performs work and oversight duties in areas pertaining to the Government Purchase Card Program, event planning, correspondence review and control, as well as other office administrative functions necessary to carry out the mission.

Minimum Qualifications: Progressively responsible work experience that includes a practical application of the above described or related work experience. Must have knowledge of military administrative management policy and procedures. Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct manner and be able to write. Must know how to design and manage recurring reports and create and manage electronic databases. Must have knowledge of military protocol procedures to plan and execute special events and functions, such as Change of Command ceremonies. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the local commuting area. Highly Preferred Criteria: Possess a minimum of 12 months experience as a government purchase card holder. Experience working with like systems: US Bank, Joint Appointment Module, Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment, and Standard NAF Automated Contracting System.
