Amentum is seeking a Support Services Engineer to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission in Andros Island, Bahamas. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading, developing and executing engineering plans and activities for the Support Services Division.
In charge of executing process improvements and the implementation of new testing and operational activities while supporting project goals.
The Support Services Engineer will also be responsible for the divisions engineering drawings and systems.
Perform all other related duties.
Minimum Requirements:
Two (2) years of experience in a process or product development role.
Bachelor's of Science in Engineering
Demonstrate strong 3D modeling and GD&T skills.
Work independently and in group settings while contributing and making decisions that achieve optimal results.
Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
Ability to lead indirect reports to achieve common goals.
Familiarization with advanced Microsoft Office products such as PowerBi and Sharepoint.
Demonstrate ability to effectively take action to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment.
Demonstrate the ability to switch between many departments and projects while maintaining professionalism.
Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
A valid US Passport is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
5% travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical Engineering degree.
Prototyping experience utilizing welding, machining or 3D printing.
PLM software experience.
Six Sigma or equivalent training or experience.
Experience with PMP principles.
Experience with NAVFAC P-307 and NAVSEA OP-5.
Compensation Details:
$40.00 - $45.00
