About the Team

We’re looking for a Support Operations Trainer to deliver and support high-quality training for Doordash employees. The Training Team is a passionate organization that provides best-in-class new hire and upskill training across Merchant Support.

Our team enables support agents to feel confident in the solutions they provide to customers through structured onboarding, continued education, and performance-focused learning experiences. Trainers play a critical role in shaping the first impression and long-term success of our teammates.

About the Role

We’re looking for an engaging and motivated Trainer who is passionate about developing people and delivering impactful learning experiences. In this role, you will facilitate new hire training and support continued education across one or more lines of business while maintaining a strong focus on learner engagement, knowledge retention, and performance readiness.

This role requires strong facilitation skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset. You will report into the Training Operations Supervisor on our Merchant Experience Operations Training Team and work closely with Senior Trainers, peers, and cross-functional partners.

At DoorDash, we foster meaningful connections and collaboration, requiring all trainers to be in the office during On-the-Job Training (OJT) for immediate support and real-time engagement with their teams. While in-office attendance is mandatory for OJT, trainers will have designated periods to work from home for balance. This position is based at our corporate office in Tempe, Arizona and you must live within a commutable distance to the site.

  • Facilitate new hire and refresher training using existing curricula and Learning Management Systems
  • Support Senior Trainers in delivering consistent, engaging, and effective learning experiences
  • Serve as a welcoming and knowledgeable representative of Merchant Experience Operations (MXO) for new hires
  • Reinforce policies, procedures, and tools to ensure learners are prepared for production readiness
  • Assist in identifying knowledge gaps and escalating opportunities for training improvements
  • Learn and facilitate training across one or more Merchant Lines of Business
  • Support On-the-Job Training (OJT) by providing real-time guidance, coaching, and clarification
  • Use strong communication skills to engage learners in live, recorded, and virtual environments
  • Continuously build expertise in DoorDash processes, tools, and resources
  • Collaborate with peers, Senior Trainers, and Instructional Designers to support training initiatives
  • Support the evaluation of training effectiveness by monitoring learner performance, engagement, and feedback
  • Act as an enablement partner for operations teams by supporting scalable and consistent training delivery
  • Support cross-skilling initiatives to help teams flex across lines of business during demand spikes or special projects (if not already included
  • Contribute feedback and written input to support instructional designers in simplifying and improving training content

  • You are comfortable facilitating in-person, virtual, and hybrid training sessions with consistent learner engagement
  • You are able to meet tight deadlines and adapt quickly to shifting priorities, schedules, or business needs
  • You are comfortable using virtual facilitation tools such as video conferencing platforms, chat, breakout rooms, and digital collaboration tools
  • You can translate complex processes into clear, learner-friendly explanations through both verbal and written communication
