Support Engineer - CMDB

You will be responsible to support a variety of ServiceNow Discovery/CMDB administration tasks. You will implement, support, and enhance ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB. Additionally you will collaborate with Business partners in order to increase the efficiency of our process and accuracy of data. What you’ll do

  • Establish and maintain the inventory and tracking of Hardware and Software assets

  • Administer the tools to support hardware and software inventory for risk and compliance

  • Administer the procurement of Hardware and Software asset procurement

  • Manage costs and financial forecasts, identify and deliver cost savings associated with
    Hardware and Software assets

What experience you need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent to experience

  • 3 years experience in an IT Infrastructure role

  • 3 years experience in analysis, troubleshooting, technical and non-technical communication skills, both verbal and written

  • 3 years experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, LDAP, Single-Sign-on, authentication, user and group policy objects, and permission levels OR Knowledge of UNIX or Linux Server administration, including user permission levels, SUDO virtualization, including VMware, containerization, and Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.

  • 3 years experience with IP Networks, subnets and related network knowledge

What could set you apart

  • Hands-on experience leveraging LLMs and Generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate code development, automate documentation, or streamline technical troubleshooting.

  • Experience with Public Cloud environments, AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI.

  • Solid communication skills including strong verbal presentation skills. Ability to communicate security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and able to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Experience analyzing complex logs, error messages, and system data to quickly pinpoint and address the root cause of issues.

  • You can effectively guide users through technical troubleshooting steps in a patient and easy-to-understand manner, whether it's through a call, email, or chat.

  • You contribute to the team's success by creating and maintaining support documentation and knowledge base articles, making it easier for everyone to find solutions.

  • Scripting experience using JavaScript, Powershell, Bash and Regex.

  • Effectively diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues related to software, hardware, and network systems.

  • Contribute the team with hands on experience in ServiceNow Discovery/CMDB solution design & configuration.
