SUPPLY TECHNICIAN

Salary Range: $52158 - $67809 Per Year

Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major Duties:

  • You will procure and acquire supplies, materials, parts, and equipment and services through government assigned automated systems.
  • You will research vendors, initiate contracts and negotiate prices.
  • You will manage the operations supply budget.
  • You will ensure that supply discipline and conservation is adhered to.
  • You will train newly assigned staff.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1. Basic knowledge regarding inventory control and the stocking/issuance of supplies. 2. Ability to navigate and utilize various supply databases and supporting software system(s). 3. Prior experience in receiving, inspecting and inducting shipments. 4. Basic knowledge of supply regulations, inventory management, and warehousing requirements. 5. Basic knowledge and ability to search catalogs, records, or other data sources to obtain or correct stock numbers or to find authorized substitutes for stock items; 6. Ability to conduct physical inventories and adjust and/or maintain inventory, stock, plant, or property account records; 7. Experience to conduct stock maintenance to monitor and adjust stock levels as required.
