The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Supply Specialist 2 to join our Distribution Services team. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the flow of essential materials that support institutional operations and the daily needs of adults in custody (AICs). About the Job – Your Role
In this role, you will oversee and coordinate daily warehouse and commissary operations. Your responsibilities will include:
This position is represented by American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience which included purchasing a variety of supplies, equipment or materials, maintaining inventory records, and shipping and receiving materials and equipment.

Working Conditions
Requires physical ability to perform heavy lifting for short duration on daily basis, load and off-load supply shipments during inclement weather conditions, to work in -20-degree storage unit; operation of equipment unique to warehouse operations (fork lifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.), and subjected to hazards associated in accomplishment of assigned duties at the Distribution Services Warehouses and Commissaries including control and custody of AICs.
Security regulations require skills and knowledge of daily custody and supervision of AICs. Must maintain a general knowledge of security procedures and guidelines. Required reporting of all infractions of security regulations to immediate supervisor or security staff. Achieve maximum compliance in control and accountability of security keys and tools. Prevent the introduction of contraband that could be used by AICs as weapons or provide a means of escape from custody. Based on weekly schedule, transport/escort AICs to and from the CDC and assigned institution.

The salary range listed above is for non-PERS qualifying applicants. PERS qualifying applicants may be eligible for an adjusted range to reflect an additional 6.95%.

The successful candidate for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, there may be some felony convictions that could disqualify you for this position.
