We’re hiring a Supply Planner at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. 

The Supply Planner will solve a variety of problems that may arise, including but not limited to, change in customer demands and service levels, frequent analysis based on what-if scenarios, seasonal and regional changes in demand, and is required to coordinate with vendors to better improve the performance of the S & OP process and optimize the supply to fulfill customer’s expectations. A key performance indicator for this role will be the optimization of inventory levels across multiple distribution centers to support regional demand. This requires not only strong analytical skills but also a collaborative approach to integrate insights across departments and ensure alignment with overarching business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support organizational goals to assure on time delivery of product to support fleet up time.
  • Place POs with vendors, reconcile confirmations, track deliveries, troubleshoot exceptions, and report out on open PO lines.
  • Analyze regional forecast data to optimize inventory mix stocked at each Distribution Center, and push/pull the delivery schedule as needed to support inventory goals.
  • Provide analytical and direct support to Demand Planners. 
  • Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities for inventory reduction.
  • Report and regularly communicate with leadership about any potential delivery obstacles including backorder status, shipping delays, etc.
  • Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities related to product supply and shipping.
  • Assist in quantifying and defining scope for capacity, resource, logistics, and supply chain planning.
  • Build strong working relationships with branches, vendors, and peers.
  • Coordinate with Demand Planners to support S & OP reviews.
  • Partner closely with Procurement to ensure company needs for products are met on a timely basis at optimum inventory level, and leverage bulk discounts and favorable shipping terms to decrease COGs where possible.
  • Perform other requested tasks and duties beyond specified job description as needed.
  • Manage parts/tools/consumables requests, fulfilling orders from Distribution Center (DC) stock or creating direct ship POs as needed, and communicating back to branches/megasites with order confirmations and tracking information.
  • Assist branches/megasites in researching vendor direct delivery exceptions by providing back up correspondence and vendor contact information as needed, and copying in Supply Chain Director for escalated resolution and vendor performance data.
  • Provide guidance to customers on machine research/part identification, economical after-market options, superseded parts, and alternative for back ordered parts.
  • Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans and potential benefits of recommended change.

        • Strong quantitative skills and ability to analyze Supply Chain Management (SCM) problems to develop and implement solutions.
        • Excellent organizational skills.
        • Familiar with MS D365 or other ERP/forecasting software is strongly preferred.
        • Strong technical skills in MS Office/Google Suite.

         

        Education and Experience: 

        • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred. 
        • At least 2+ years in a role of similar responsibility/scale, in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
        • APICS certification is a plus..

        Physical Requirements:

        If there are any lifting restrictions for the role, they must be included here. 

        • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
        • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
        • Must have visual and hearing acuity.
