Job Description Summary
The Supply Operations Specialist will support the global Supply Chain Operations (SCO) network for Cell and Gene Therapies and CMO operations by executing the tactical buying and planning of materials and order management to ensure delivery performance level. Support in evaluating all supply chain operations KPIs, supply chain master data management and labelling logistics operations. Specialist will also support change control process and SOP/WP review.
Job Description
• Establish optimal supply plan, to ensure customer service level, production capabilities, inventory level and operational cost according to budget.
• Responsible for timely order fulfilment including organization and management of physical shipment of goods in collaboration with International Trade Management and Transportation companies.
• Maintain supply chain KPIs and supplier performance management. Basic understanding of contract terms and measuring whether supplier performance is meeting those terms.
• MRP Optimization and maintenance of planning & master data parameters (i.e. MOQ, Lead Times, order frequency) setting for active assortment in close collaboration with local master data mgt.
• Ensures transparency and priorities of orders along with reliable and continuous supply at minimum inventory levels
• Collaboration with internal functions (Procurement, QA, QC, MS&T and TRD) for planning of supply, validation and development activities.
• Review performance with suppliers, including the proactive identification and implementation of improvements to enhance production schedule and customer service while improving cycle times
• On-board new suppliers and materials required for CMOs including material code creation, MRP maintenance and PIR.
• Utilize SAP, BI and other reporting software to inform upper management of current and projected disruptions in the external supply site
• Support with CAPAs, change control implementations and SOP updates.
• Ensure compliance with Novartis policies and procedures, strategy and standards
o NFCM requirements, GMP requirements, transportation compliance, cus-toms/ VAT, controlled substance requirements and defined business continuity plans for supply operations network
· Support implementation of changes in AGILE to ensure evaluations are appropriate and execution tasks are completed in time.

Education: B.S preferred. If no BS degree, at least 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain Operations or related activities with materials and systems in cell & gene
Languages: Fluent in speaking / writing in English
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain Operations or related activities with materials and systems in cell & gene
Pharmaceutical GMP’s – strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
Experience with SAP or S4 HANA
Strong Excel skills including data manipulation, advanced formula usage, data analysis, and automation.
