Job Summary: THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD0883P01 and is part of the KY DOL, National Guard. ***NOTE: Indefinite employment is temporary and is expected to last more than one year but no more than five consecutive years.*** Continued employment is not guaranteed and is subject to annual competition.

Major Duties:

  • As a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, GS-2003-11, you will formulate and implement the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and mission requirements. Develop, coordinate and implement policies, procedures and requirements for unit deployments, inter-service support agreements, emergency support, training exercises support and environmental compliance. Ensure coordination between units, JFHQ staff, USPFO, NGB and other agencies on command logistics support requirements. Initiate equipment redistribution guidance. Responsible for operation of the logistics operations center to support JFHQ Emergency Operations Center. Obtain data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine and improve logistics readiness. Develop the Equipment on Hand policy to initiate equipment redistribution actions. Develop, staff and implement logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization. Receive input from the Surface Maintenance Manager (SMM) regarding the Mission Support Plans. Develop requirements for new equipment training. Serve as the Information Systems/Automation Security Officer, Physical Security Officer and Safety Officer for the directorate, providing technical oversight throughout the shops and activities of the program. Update Internal Management Control (IMC) Plan. Prepare the annual DCSLOG/G4 management controls statement of assurance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment.
