Major Duties:

  • You will provide supply transaction and material control for several missile programs including Harpoon, Tomahawk, Sparrow, Sidewinder, ESSM, Standard Missile, as well as components for NMCLANT DET Yorktown's depot level Container Repair Facility.
  • You coordinate and execute logistics management, material movements and supply material transactions.
  • You will perform receiving, storing, and issuing of assets in accordance with the NMCLANT overall warehousing plan and procedures.
  • You will process receipts, requisitions, issue documents, stock number change notifications, survey action and other documentation, etc., for items requiring special handling.
  • You will plan and arrange material to achieve maximum efficiency of storage space and accuracy of inventory data.
  • You will generate updates to material status, material handling documents, reports, etc.
  • You will perform physical inventory inspections and audits for three supply store rooms in different facilities.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: To qualify for a GS-09, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions to perform such work as extensive and exhaustive research; reconstruction of records to correct lost transactions; and ability to apply new developments and procedures such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Lean Six Sigma (LEAN), and Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) to improve processes. Experience demonstrating knowledge of organizational units and functions related to Weapons/ordnance maintenance and container repair for efficiently ordering/restocking necessary materials. Experience developing, collecting, analyzing, and evaluating transaction data for clarification and briefings. Experience making sound decisions based on conflicting information, pressing circumstances, and short time frames. Experience analyzing requests and making valid decisions, which are supportive of the command and the intent of the sponsor. Experience prioritizing effectively all tasks and requirements. To qualify for a GS-07, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience demonstrating knowledge of material management, storage, shipping alternatives, and constraints. Experience in inventory management with knowledge of storage requirements. Experience demonstrating knowledge of organizational units and functions related to Weapons/ordnance maintenance and container repair for efficiently ordering/restocking necessary materials. Experience communicating accurately both in writing and verbally with sponsors, management, and engineering groups. Experience analyzing requests and making valid decisions, which are supportive of the command and the intent of the sponsor Experience prioritizing effectively all tasks and requirements.
