Responsible for serving as the primary liaison between DC teams and corporate functions for QA related escalations and process enhancements. Responsible for establishing, enforcing, and continuously improving vendor compliance and quality standards across the supply chain network. Partners closely with Distribution Operations, Finance, and other cross functional teams to ensure accurate inventory control practices, resolve vendor- and purchase order–related issues, and drive operational consistency across Distribution Centers (DCs).
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Define, update, and enforce vendor quality and packaging guidelines to ensure inbound shipments meet company requirements.
Receive feedback from DCs and communicate violations of Vendor Compliance Programs, including expectations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement processes.
Collaborate with Merchandising, Sourcing, and Logistics to address recurring vendor quality issues and drive long term supplier performance improvements.
Partner with Distribution Operations to ensure inventory control processes are standardized and effectively executed across all DCs.
Conduct regular field visits to assess quality compliance, support improvement initiatives, and reinforce the company’s quality culture.
Develop and deliver training programs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices to ensure consistent performance across all DC locations
Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, root cause issues, and inventory accuracy trends to recommend improvements.
Support Distribution Centers in resolving vendor discrepancies, purchase order (PO) issues, and inbound shipment irregularities.
Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to ensure accuracy, reduce defects, and improve DC operational flow.
Work closely with Finance to ensure alignment on inventory accuracy, reconciliation procedures, and audit readiness.
Provide direction, coaching, and leadership to Distribution Center Quality Assurance Managers.

Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel 20-40% of the time (depending on location)
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 8+ years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 5+ years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field.
Experience in vendor compliance or supplier quality in a distribution heavy supply chain.
Experience within a high volume retail, wholesale, or manufacturing environment.
Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification
Ability to guide multi site teams without direct authority.
Strong understanding of quality systems, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Skilled at building relationships across operational, financial, and supplier teams.
Uses data and sound judgment to drive effective outcomes.
Clear, concise, and effective in written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization.
