Supply Chain - Manager, Duty Optimization, Trade & Customs

THE TEAM 

The mission of the Trade & Customs Department is to facilitate the cross-border movement of goods, playing a vital role in Aritzia’s global commerce. 

 

THE OPPORTUNITY 

Aritzia is growing and our Trade & Customs team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for monitoring the imports and exports across all trade channels. As the Manager, Duty Optimization, Trade & Customs, you will play a pivotal role in duty management & financial analysis, tariff engineering, duty drawback, and First Sale for Export programs to maximize business value and ensure compliance. With the skills you gain in this role, the opportunities are endless — from a rewarding career in Trade & Customs to continued growth and development with Aritzia.  

 

THE ROLE 

As the Manager, Duty Optimization, Trade & Customs, you will: 

  • Lead and manage global duty spend & cost reduction portfolio across all Aritzia trade channels 

  • Perform large data analysis with respect to duty savings and other financial outlays 

  • Lead and manage duty drawback programs, First Sale for Export, Refunds/PSC’s and other recovery/reduction requirements. 

  • Interpret rules of origin applicable for Free Trade Agreement eligibility 

  • Interpret HS/HTS coding for optimization 

  • Monitor and interpret global government recovery programs, regulations, and changes in customs policies 

 

THE QUALIFICATIONS  

The Manager, Duty Optimization, Trade & Customs, has: 

  • Proven skills, certifications, education, and/or experience in:

    • Experience in Trade and Customs Environment 

    • Ability to work independently with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data  

    • CAN CCS (US CCS an asset) 

    • Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, BI Reporting, Bit Query or other analysis tools 

  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles 

  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners 

  • A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value and drive the business 

 

THE COMPENSATION  

The typical hiring range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
