Supply Chain Management Analyst (Mid-Level or Senior)

Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) Supply Chain is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Supply Chain Management Analyst (Level 3 or 4) to join our 787 Systems Supply Chain team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st Shift.

You will incorporate change and planning decisions to arrive at optimal solutions as well as apply Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies to ensure coordination in the global supply chain. This position may require the ability to travel up to 10%.

Position Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Guiding Integrated Teams: Independently represents SCM plans and strategies to integrated product design/build teams to arrive at optimal solutions.

  • Lead SCM Strategy: Leads cross-functional teams in the introduction of new tools, techniques, and process improvements to enhance organizational performance.

  • Corporate Policy: Recommends changes to existing corporate and divisional policies and ensures organizational compliance with inventory management policies, contractual requirements, and governmental regulations.

  • Senior Reporting: Presents detailed analysis of performance measurements and schedule adherence to senior managers.

Production & Material Control

  • Complex Analysis: Investigates complex ordering conditions and analyzes material requirements to verify and incorporate Bills of Material (BOM) and schedules into a comprehensive production plan.

  • Schedule Development: Creates complex schedules for products and services and develops materials management estimates for new business proposals.

  • Inventory Management: Develops and controls inventory plans to optimize levels, analyzes and dispositions excess inventories, and initiates audits to ensure accuracy.

  • Order Management: Initiates, coordinates, and authorizes the release of orders by evaluating system requirements, resource availability, and part number attributes. 

Execution & Process Improvement

  • Operations Oversight: Documents and resolves order delinquencies to ensure on-time delivery and coordinates change and planning decisions for optimal supply chain flow.

  • Methodology Innovation: Identifies and implements best practices, new ordering methodologies, and SCM methodologies to ensure coordination across the global supply chain.

  • Team Supervision: Responsible for overseeing, documenting, and maintaining improvements contributed by teams.

  • Self-Direction: Works under minimal to general direction, demonstrating the ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain and inventory management

  • 3+ years of experience collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, as well as interpreting data & presenting analysis and recommendations to management

  • 3+ years of experience in a position where priorities changed frequently & customer service was critical to the team’s success


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 1+ years of experience supporting supplier recoveries

  • 3+ years of experience working directly with suppliers

  • 5+ years of experience with Velocity and ERPLN systems (or similar industry systems)

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace related manufacturing operations or production support

  • 5+ years of experience integrating between multiple stakeholders

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.


Level 3 Summary Pay Range: $85,850 - $116,150

Level 4 Summary Pay Range: $106,250 - $143,750
