POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Coca-Cola’s Summer Internship program is an 8–10-week experience at our headquarters in Atlanta, GA.  

 

As The Coca-Cola Company’s ambition to provide Beverages for Life and our North America’s portfolio continues to become more complex to keep up with changing consumer taste, our supply chain and operations must be able to keep up with building new capabilities and evolve, while sustaining our base business. The Company’s focus on both the topline growth (Net Revenue) and bottom-line growth (Operating Income) emphasizes the importance of planning, optimizing our supply chain, and constantly evolving to become as effective and efficient as possible. 

 

The Supply Chain Strategy team focuses on strategic supply chain related questions (e.g., infrastructure/network design, production partnership strategy, and transformational capability enhancement) in North America (US, Canada, and Mexican exports to US) The team consists of a VP, 3 Senior Directors, 3 Director, and 3 Sr. Managers (along with partially dedicated internal support resources for various functions and external support resources as required).   The team typically has 5-7 separate transformation projects/initiatives advancing in parallel, which are each led by a team member.   

 

We are seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Intern with a strong interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications within supply chain management. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that leverage AI to optimize processes, enhance decision-making, and drive innovation across our global supply chain. 

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION 

What You’ll Do for Us 

  • Supply chain strategy project leadership/management – support major transformation initiatives from ideation through final decision alignment and handoff to execution team 

  • Organizational alignment – support Sr. Directors in delivering cross functional team leadership (non-reporting relationship – managing through influence), harnessing expertise of various SMEs as needed while creating materials required to align senior leadership on key decisions 

  • Supporting analysis – financial and operational analysis (Excel based); defining, interpreting, and utilizing analyses performed by other SMEs as required 

  • AI Use Case Development: Identify and prioritize opportunities for AI integration within supply chain operations (e.g., demand forecasting, inventory optimization, transportation planning).  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business problems and translate them into AI-driven solutions. 

  • Negotiation management - external deal negotiations involvement of large production contracts and M&A transactions may be required 

  • Business Partnership  support the team in partnering with internal supply chain operations, technical, brand, commercial, customer, and bottler teams as required to develop solutions optimized for total system impact 

 

KEY SUCCESS PARAMETERS 

The ideal candidate 

  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or Business  or have graduated from their degree program no earlier than December 2025.

  • Is interested in gaining exposure to a “consulting skillset” – ability to quickly learn opportunities/constraints/consideration factors and breakdown complex problems with pragmatic structures 

  • Has solid financial/analytical acumen and a passion for solving complex problems 

  • Is   energized, curious and impatient to drive continuous improvement and simplification. Listens well and is not defensive to feedback 

  • Needs to be able to interact with associates and leaders with effective verbal and written communication 

  • Coursework / project work in supply chain, optimization, simulation, data analysis etc. is a plus 

  • Ability to work in complex environment, with multiple decision makers 

 

Technical Skills 

  • Project Management Skills 

  • PowerBI / Reporting 

  • Understanding of Optimization solutions and Supply chain concepts 

  • Design Thinking – solving problems by prioritizing the consumer's needs above all else 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  

  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.  

  • Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals and interest in AI applications.  

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

COMPENSATION

  • Monthly Salary (undergraduate): $4,506
