Job Summary

The Engineering Program Manager leads complex NPI (New Product Introduction) programs and regional manufacturing deployment of Consumer Notebooks and Desktops. This role drives end-to-end execution across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and regulatory stakeholders, ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-effective product launches.

The position requires strong program management discipline, clear and proactive communication, and hands-on manufacturing experience to successfully manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs across multiple cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple NPI programs involving cross-functional and regional teams to ensure product readiness at manufacturing sites, including prototype builds, site pilots, and ramp-to-volume activities, while meeting launch timelines, quality targets, and cost objectives.
  • Own program planning and execution by developing integrated schedules, milestones, critical deliverables, and resource requirements; rigorously track progress against established plans and drive corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as the central point of communication for assigned programs, providing clear, timely, and structured updates on status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans to stakeholders at all levels, including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams.
  • Apply strong manufacturing and supply chain expertise to proactively identify risks related to production readiness, capacity, materials, quality, and compliance, and work with partners to resolve issues before they impact business outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and regional manufacturing partners to recommend and implement changes to products, processes, or business practices, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, manufacturing capabilities, and deployment schedules.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from RTP (Release to Production) through EOL (End of Life), including refresh rollouts, out-of-cycle commodity changes, and transition planning, while minimizing disruption to operations and customers.
  • Simplify and standardize deployment processes, ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, and drive best practices to enable smoother, faster, and more cost-effective launches.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional improvement initiatives beyond day-to-day operations, addressing systemic pain points, improving execution efficiency, and supporting broader business transformation goals.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Bachelor or master degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically, 7–10 years of experience in program or project management, engineering development, manufacturing or supply chain environments, with demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience working with project planning tools, managing schedules and dependencies, and communicating effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
