In this exciting opportunity, you will support the execution, testing, and monitoring of Supply Chain Management (SCM) controls to ensure compliance with internal policies, management control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with experienced Controls Advisors, you’ll contribute to control testing, documentation, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives — all while developing strong foundational skills in risk assessment and internal controls.

Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Four years of related experience, including one year in controls, audit, compliance, finance, or process-focused roles
- Foundational understanding of internal controls, risk management, or compliance concepts
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities:
- Support controls testing and compliance monitoring by performing substantive transaction testing, conducting interviews and walkthroughs, and tracking compliance with Suncor’s Management Controls Framework and SOX/ICFR requirements
- Provide process and controls improvement support to Controls Advisors in documenting end-to-end process, risk and controls documentation
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by preparing analysis and summaries
- Support management of change (MOC) impact assessments by documenting control impacts related to process or system changes
- Support Controls Advisors on closing control gaps and implementing corrective action plans, including evaluating control effectiveness
- Assist in tracking audit findings, corrective action plans, and closure status
Location and other Key details:
- This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
