Summary Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. (Specific rate to be determined, but not limited to, geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).

Pay Range: $111,800 - $202,900

Job Summary

The purpose of the Process Consultant is to leverage specialized knowledge and skills to drive the successful implementation and operationalization of the SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) solution. This role is crucial for executing project tasks effectively across global and regional teams. The expert collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, external partners, and stakeholders, providing insights, facilitating training, and ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle. The Expert supports the track leads, project manager, and project responsible by providing expertise, assisting in task execution, and ensuring alignment with project objectives. The Expert plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data that drives SAP IBP processes. This position is essential for establishing robust data governance and quality standards within the organization. Among other tasks, this role supports the Track Lead for Master and Transactional Data. Beyond that, implementation and training activities of key- and end-users are of focus

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute planning activities for one or two manufacturing/distribution units with dependencies on other processes/units/suppliers. Provide input to the overall supply planning framework and systems

  • Monitor, review, and highlight any gaps in the performance of a portfolio of suppliers to recommend and ensure delivery of improvements by suppliers or to renegotiate or change contract/supplier.

  • Collect and analyze the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers for a medium-risk area with some alternatives/medium costs of changing, in consultation with relevant functions to provide solid market information for decision making.

  • Deliver required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan.

  • Identify contract requirements and write specifications for a small portfolio or area of the business for existing contracts and/or new contracts.

  • Supervise others working within established operational systems.

  • Review existing operations in own area of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvements are delivered.


RESPONSIBILITY

General Responsibilities – Process Consultant

  • Collaborate with track leads and project management to support effective project execution and ensure alignment with overall strategy

  • Execute project tasks across key domains, including Organizational Change Management, Data Management, Testing, Training, Process Improvement, Software Configuration, and Reporting

  • Partner with stakeholders across business lines, IT, BPM, and external partners to deliver project objectives

  • Provide subject matter expertise within the assigned functional domain

  • Monitor project progress and recommend improvements based on defined performance metrics

  • Document processes, findings, decisions, and outcomes to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

  • Prepare and present status updates and insights to project leadership to enable informed decision-making

Specific Responsibilities – Process Consultant (IBP / Data Focus)

  • Support track leads and project management in defining and implementing data governance frameworks for master and transactional data within the scope of IBP

  • Collaborate with IT, Business, BPM, and external stakeholders to identify data requirements and ensure compliance with established data standards

  • Conduct data quality assessments and lead data cleansing and enrichment initiatives

  • Support integration of data between SAP IBP and other systems, ensuring seamless and reliable data flows

  • Provide training, best practices, and guidance related to data management, system utilization, and analytical tools

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong experience in end-to-end Supply Chain processes

  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and a solid understanding of SAP S/4 master data and its relevance for planning purposes

  • Ideally, experience with SAP IBP for Supply (Time-Series Planning), SAP IBP for Inventory, SAP IBP for Response (Order-Based Planning), SAP IBP for Demand, and SAP S/4 PP/DS

  • Project-based role with an anticipated duration of approximately 2 years, offering the opportunity to gain broad exposure across a significant portion of Evonik over a 2–2.5 year timeframe

  • Central, cross-functional position with high visibility and impact across business units and functions
