A senior analytical role responsible for acting as a solution specialist for Supply Chain Business Intelligence. The position leads the design and end-to-end delivery of BI solutions that unlock strategic value, improve operational performance, and enable data-driven decision-making across the supply chain.
The role serves as the subject matter expert for advanced reporting and analytical capabilities, implementing best practice across data modelling, automation, visualisation, and governance. Core responsibilities include developing and optimising reporting using SQL, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and Python, while ensuring solutions remain scalable, high-quality, and business-focused.
The role also provides mentorship and guidance to analytical colleagues, supports the adoption of BI across the organisation, and champions innovation and continuous improvement. Ultimately, this position ensures that supply chain data is translated into meaningful insight, embedded into business processes, and leveraged to drive measurable value.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor data analysts and data scientists to drive performance, foster collaboration, and support professional development.
- Ensure alignment between team activities and broader business objectives, facilitating knowledge transfer and learning within the team.
BI Solution Development, Data Science & DataOps:
- Own the development and management of the supply chain's BI data environment, overseeing Power BI for data modelling, analytics, and visualisation, while integrating data science methodologies to enhance predictive insights.
- Manage data collection, quality, and normalisation, ensuring process efficiency, promoting good DataOps practices (process-oriented and collaborative data management).
Strategic Insights & Reporting:
- Provide timely, actionable insights by developing and maintaining BI dashboards that communicate network performance and predictive insights, leveraging both BI and data science.
- Generate reports for both internal stakeholders and external customers, using advanced reporting techniques to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Report and Insight Socialisation:
- Play a lead role in socialising reports and insights across the organisation, ensuring that key findings are effectively communicated and understood by relevant stakeholders.
- Develop training materials & conduct workshops to enhance stakeholders’ understanding of BI tools, data science applications, & insights, promoting a data-driven culture
Business Partnership & Solutions Design:
- Collaborate with supply chain departments and other business stakeholders to understand complex business challenges and deliver tailored BI and data science solutions that address these challenges.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, defining data flows and ensuring that data architectures support business objectives.
Innovation & Process Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvements in BI solution design and execution, integrating data science to refine processes for greater efficiency and sophistication.
- Foster innovation by growing the scope of BI and data science reporting, pushing for wider use of data-driven insights and democratising Power BI.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Preferred: Advanced degree or certifications in Power BI, Data Analytics, or Cloud Data Engineering (e.g., Azure, AWS).
Work Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data science, ideally within a large, complex organisation and with exposure to supply chain operations.
- Proven expertise in BI solution design and implementation, including data modelling, automation, and visualisation using Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and SQL.
- Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end BI projects, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and business-focused outcomes.
- Experience applying project management methodologies to deliver medium to large-scale analytics or digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience mentoring analytical professionals and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Power BI for data modelling, visualisation, and performance optimisation.
- Proficient in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Experience with Python for data processing, automation, and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with Materials Management ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
- Exposure to emerging technologies such as Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and IoT is an advantage.
