Job Summary: The Supply Chain Analyst will support the Supply Chain Data & Analytics team by stabilizing Item Master integrity and fostering a culture of proactive data stewardship. This role involves acting as a technical Subject Matter Expert and “Super User” during Enterprise Resource Planning system upgrades and technology rollouts to drive operational excellence.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science or Management of Information Systems. Master's degree in Data Analytics or Information Technology, preferred.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Epic Clarity/Caboodle and Certification in Data Analytics or data visualization, preferred.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Governance, Information Technology or Supply Chain Analytics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of Workday Supply Chain Management, Global Healthcare Exchange, and Premier Group Purchasing Organization platforms. Working knowledge of cloud-based data warehouse platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, and similar environments. Knowledge in Structured Query Language and Python for data remediation, automation, and advanced analysis. Strong communication skills with the ability to design systems that align with strategic business goals with the capability to present complex ideas to senior leadership, clinical teams, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding, alignment, and effective decision-making. Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels with proficiency in using active listening and cultural sensitivity to ensure effective communication and successful outcomes. Demonstrated ability to use these tools to optimize supply chain processes, enhance operational efficiency, and generate valuable data insights. Strong ability to streamline processes, manage large datasets, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Establishes and monitors Electronic Data Interchange performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators and implements continuous improvements to support Sourcing and Purchasing workflows. Develops advanced reporting solutions to identify and resolve the root causes of PO discrepancies, order changes, and cancellations between the GPO, Workday, and the vendor community. Acts as the primary technical liaison for EDI troubleshooting and maintains strategic relationships with contracting team and/or prime distributors to align pricing updates and ensure product availability. Provides Sourcing Managers with targeted analytics to identify off contract spend triggering price exceptions, facilitating the migration of items onto preferred GPO contracts. Maintains a library of documentation and training materials to standardize GHX/EDI processes across the health system. Engineers complex, multi-join SQL queries within BigQuery to aggregate large data sets, creating optimized views of Item and Contract Master data that Supply Chain Analysts can work from. Visualizes, interprets, and reports data findings; may create dynamic data reports and dashboards using Power BI or Microsoft Fabric. Present executive-level data-driven insights to Senior Leadership to influence critical business decisions. Supports precise supply expense reporting through item management including contract linkage, unit of measure and item accounting validation and gathers financial and market intelligence by querying Google. Maintains the Workday Item Master as the definitive “Source of Truth”, ensuring alignment between procurement, contract management, and clinical requirements.
