The Opportunity

The Supply Chain Analyst will support the Category Management, Materials & Equipment Team, with activities focused across TC Energy’s critical materials & equipment spend areas. The role will perform contract administration, supplier coordination, and support of supply chain Category Strategies, while building on foundational knowledge of sourcing, negotiation, strategic planning, and supply chain governance.

The Analyst contributes to efficient sourcing strategies, contract management, supplier performance across TC Energy’s operations and projects functions. The role will also support implementation activities across multiple new Category Strategies which are currently in development.

What you'll do

  • Supports sourcing and strategies activities under the direction of senior team members

  • Conducts preliminary market research, gathers pricing and supplier data, and supports development of category insights

  • Evaluates alternative products, suppliers, and services to support cost effective decision making

  • Ensures contract documentation is maintained in compliance with TC Energy policies and audit requirements

  • Provides execution support for Category Strategies, including data consolidation, action tracking, supplier coordination, and communication support

  • Acts as an escalation point for assigned suppliers and assists in resolving routine supply issues

  • Supports Supplier Performance Management (SPM) activities for active orders, including data gathering and status tracking

  • Coordinates supplier onboarding activities supporting new Category Strategies and other category programs

  • Supports the qualification of new suppliers or new scopes to existing suppliers, in collaboration with SME team

  • Communicates with suppliers to clarify requirements and resolve routine issues

  • Engages with internal customers to confirm needs, timelines, specifications, and delivery expectations

  • Escalates complex issues to senior staff while providing preliminary analysis and supporting documentation

  • Builds collaborative working relationships across Supply Chain, BU Operations, BU Projects, Engineering, and SMEs

  • Utilizes ERP and supply chain systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba/CMS, Excel/Power BI) to support Category Strategies with data insights

  • Conducts basic spend analysis and usage reporting to support decision‑making

  • Identifies process gaps or data inconsistencies and recommends improvements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Post‑secondary education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of related supply chain experience, or a combination of education and relevant practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, and Microsoft Office tools

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Interest in learning the technical details of materials and equipment

  • Foundational understanding of commercial terms and conditions and supplier engagement practices

  • Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a One Team environment
