DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative procurement team and make a meaningful impact on providing scientific solutions. As a Supplier Relationship Specialist I, you will support supplier performance and relationship management activities within the Clinical Research Group. Working under the guidance of senior SRM colleagues, you will help monitor supplier performance, maintain accurate data and reporting, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enable reliable, compliant, and cost-effective supplier delivery.
This role provides hands-on exposure to supplier management in a regulated clinical research environment and builds foundational SRM capabilities.
What We Will Do
Supplier Performance Support
Support the monitoring and tracking of supplier KPIs, service levels, and performance trends.
Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action tracking for supplier performance issues.
Prepare materials and data inputs for supplier business reviews.
Data Reporting & Systems
Maintain supplier data in ERP and quality systems (e.g., SAP, Mosaic, TrackWise).
Support dashboard and scorecard development using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of supplier performance reporting.
Cross Functional Collaboration
Partner with study teams, procurement, and quality colleagues to support supplier-related activities.
Coordinate communications and follow-ups related to supplier actions and commitments.
Escalate risks or issues to senior SRM colleagues as appropriate.
Continuous Improvement
Support process improvement initiatives focused on supplier performance and efficiency.
Develop understanding of SRM best practices, regulatory expectations, and internal processes.
How You Will Get Here
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related subject area required. Advanced degree or certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, PMP) preferred.
Experience
2-5 years of experience in Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Operations in a regulated environment (e.g., Pharma, Medical Device, Biotech). Experience working with clinical trials is highly preferred.
We value a proven ability to lead supplier performance improvement and relationship management initiatives. Experience using ERP/QMS systems and data analytics tools. Prior exposure to regulated frameworks (GxP, ISO, ICH) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Developing knowledge of supplier management concepts and performance metrics.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Comfortable working with data, systems, and reporting tools.
Operates with guidance; accountability is primarily task- and deliverable-focused.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
