Position Summary:
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for conducting supplier audits, approving samples, monitoring APQP activities, and resolving quality complaints. The role includes coordinating collaboration with suppliers and supporting continuous quality improvement across all company locations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, develop and publish data reports and present data at site reviews;
- Supplier quality complaints: judge 8D reports and Problem-Solving Tools analysis
- Support Cost Recovery activities between Supplier and Aptiv
- Plan and conduct supplier audits, evaluate quality systems and processes
- Monitor implementation of corrective actions and improvement measures
- Approve samples and processes according to PPAP/PPF requirements
- Oversee and verify APQP activities (P-FMEA, control plans, process flow)
- Support and push under-performing suppliers in their improvement activities
- Manage supplier changes processing (Supply Suggestion Change Request
- Serve as main contact for APQP activities with assigned suppliers
- Support internal and external audits and project reviews
- Assess and validate supplier production capacities
- Special tasks: e.g. execution of internal activities (development of procedures; support of internal & external audits)
- Policies & procedures: Ensure that Aptiv policies and procedures are followed
- Support local SCM activities related to material procurement
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Engineering/Technical Sciences preferred)
- Professional experience of minimum 3 years of Supplier Quality, Advance Quality or Quality Area in Automotive Industry
- Knowledge of Quality and Problem Solving tools
- Flexibility and travel readiness
- Fluent in English
- Driving license category B
