JOB TITLE: Supplier Manager, Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB)

SALARY: £59,000 - £73,000

LOCATIONS: Birmingham / Bristol / Edinburgh

HOURS: Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

About this Opportunity

Our Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division is on a growth strategy, we're deepening our relationships with Clients, developing new propositions and in doing so we're Helping Britain Prosper by supporting some of the largest Businesses across the UK.
 

Our Supplier Management team in the CIB Chief Operating Office plays a critical role in the execution of our strategy. We're responsible for the strategic management, facilitation and enablement of third-party suppliers. It is important our suppliers meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and responsibility.
 

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team, to manage contracts for a portfolio of suppliers. This role works closely with the business and third-party suppliers, to deliver sourcing strategies which get the best outcomes for customers as well as driving effective spend management and optimising commercial and risk outcomes.
 

You'll be responsible for the end-to-end supplier management process, including sourcing, onboarding, management and contract renewal. Your focus will be to collaborate with our suppliers and colleagues within the CIB business utilising the suppliers’ services to ensure that our suppliers align with agreed framework and business risk tolerance, as well as playing a key role in handling risk events.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring compliance and risk alignment.

  • Lead sourcing and procurement activities to deliver best outcomes.

  • Drive innovation and value through supplier relationships.

  • Support onboarding and contract renewals in line with Group policies

  • Lead meetings between suppliers and the business users of the service; fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment to drive positive outcomes

  • Leading your own development

  • Aspire to be a source of professional expertise and knowledge, providing professional advice to key partners and colleagues

What You'll Need

  • Contract Management – Experience of leading sourcing and procurement activities and commercial negotiations

  • Supplier Management – Practical experience of creating or applying supply chain management procedures

  • Stakeholder Engagement - Ability to engage and collaborate with partners at different levels, including supplier owners (Accountable Persons)

  • Data Analysis - Be able to analyse data from multiple sources to identify process improvements or impacts to the business

  • Knowledge of commercial banking (advantageous).
