Job Summary
Responsible for the oversight and leadership in the execution of assigned project from planning to completion. Daily tasks include managing budgets, resources and relationships to achieve organizational objectives. Planning, developing and executing schedules to ensure timely completion of project.Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business and/or Project Management or other directly related field is required; Masters Degree is strongly preferred
Licenses/Certifications: (None)
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Three (3) years project management experience related to healthcare systems, support services, specialized projects, program or related experience
Strong organization and project management skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Principal Accountabilities
Directs and manages special project development from beginning to end to include defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business objectives.
Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Determines and assesses need for additional staff and/or consultants and assists in making the appropriate staff reassignments if necessary during project cycle.
Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Creates and implements mitigation and contingency plans.
Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Responsible for facilitating meetings; building positive relationships with clients, vendors and management; tracking documentation and data collection; creating presentations; and conducting follow-up studies on projects.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
