Major Duties:

  • You will plan, coordinate, and implement programs in fish and wildlife management.
  • You will review and interpret policy, guidelines, standards and techniques in light of current conditions, and providing staff advice and assistance to the Head of Natural Resources Section.
  • You will develop and implement annual and long-range management plans for fish and wildlife resource management, proposed budget and allocations of funds, manpower necessary for executing the various projects.
  • You will review program work for attainment of Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP) goals and objectives pertaining to fish and wildlife resources.
  • You will design and conducts threatened and endangered species surveys to ensure listed species or species of concern are not impacted by any current or future activities.
  • You will develop, implement, and administer a comprehensive, scientifically based program in natural resource management, with emphasis on sustainable integration of the program with the military mission and other conservation programs.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, coordinating, and implementing programs in fish and wildlife management, dispersed outdoor recreation, and research study design and analysis AND adapting, developing, interpreting, and applying all applicable natural resources and environmental laws.
