Job Summary: You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Job Readiness Coordination Branch, Project Support Division, Supply and Logistics Department of PSNS and IMF.

Major Duties:

  • You will lead and coordinate logistics for material, tool, and consumable handling from job planning to job execution.
  • You will act as a liaison between various agencies and private industries for managing the material portion of ship-yard wide project job readiness activities.
  • You will develop and initiate administrative procedures and controls to ensure that the waterfront material support work is accomplished in an orderly manner within the time and budget constraints.
  • You will plan, organize, and direct the activities, ensuring that the work of the employees complies with legal and regulatory requirements while fulfilling customer requirements.
  • You will provide logistics authoritative guidance and administrative supervision over a core team of civilian employees and contractors of diverse disciplines such as general supply specialists and logistics management specialists.
  • You will resolve work problems presented by subordinates and recommend ways to improve production and quality of work in the branch.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) applying principles, methods, tools for development, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing projects and resources, including technical performance. (2) Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results; accepts responsibilities for mistakes. (3) Ability to identify and analyze problems; weigh relevance and accuracy of information; seek/generate and evaluate alternative perspectives/solutions; make timely and effective recommendations based on potential implications of findings. (4) Ability to determine demand plans to satisfy future requirements. (5) Evaluate and analyze the ability to execute the demand plan based on resource limitations and capacity constraints. Able to identify priorities, allocation, and management of inventory to sustain planned operational requirements and to optimize material availability. (6) Ability to develop, review, and implement legislative proposals, regulations, standards, policies, and operating guidance.
