Job Summary: You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST in the REPAIR DEPARTMENT of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Major Duties:

  • You will provide supervision over subordinate staff personnel, technical support and programs management reporting to the Repair Superintendent.
  • You will determine the emphasis, direction, tracking of metrics data, and generation of reports assessing for trends in support of the initiatives for Process Improvement, Surveillance, Training and Apprenticeship, and Re-Work programs.
  • You will coordinate the collection of data that supports the maintenance, development, improvement and management of how the Repair Department operates programs involving self-assessments.
  • You will participate in the maintenance, development, improvement and management of how the Repair Department operates.
  • You will provide input and feedback on how the Repair Department implements this command program, track long range training plans from five divisions in the Repair Department, and generate a quarterly assessment report to brief senior managers.
  • You will generate weekly and quarterly reports to brief senior leadership for visibility for these programs.
  • You will conduct root-cause analysis, audits and internal hot-washes as needed to obtain data to ascertain the departments progress, status and effectiveness of the programs.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing or evaluating ship and/or submarine maintenance and repair quality programs (e.g., process improvement, training and apprenticeship, surveillance, and re-work programs) by using data collected through performance assessments to recommend improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
