Job Summary: You will serve as a Supervisory Production Controller Project (Project Lifting-Handling) in the Production Rigging Branch (1450.2), Lifting and Handling Division (1450), Naval FOundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) (1400) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying comprehensive and intensive practical knowledge of shipyard production, rigging trade and technical methods, practices, procedures, materials, processes, and equipment utilized in the NFPC rigging needs for projects to repair and replace factors for the overhaul of a variety of ship system components. Experience supervising the rigging operational functions to ensure they are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner and coordinates with the Rigging supervisors. Experience utilizing a broad administrative knowledge and experience planning and coordinating complex rigging needs required for shop repair and overhaul work. Experience communicating effectively, both orally and in written form and to attend meetings. Experience demonstrating investigative and analytical skills to provide to address practices and problems and recommend/initiate effective improvements and solutions to ensure a smooth and efficient product. Experience applying knowledge of budget administration, personnel management, and ability to supervise for mission completeness.
