Job Summary: The Business Management Office (BMO) within the Division of Corporation Finance collaborates with leadership and stakeholders to identify and oversee all business functions of the CF organization. Its goal is to ensure the implementation of the most efficient and effective business practices. BMO is a conduit for CF offices to plan, manage, and execute mission requirements.

Major Duties:

  • BMO conducts studies and analyses that support the goals and objectives of the CF, as well as the mission of the SEC. The office provides advice and support for various SEC programs, including budgeting, human resources, procurement, logistics, facilities management, records management, security, and health and safety. If selected for the position of Branch Chief, you will oversee various initiatives and serve as a business advisor and consultant. Typical Duties Include: Serving as a key advisor on matters related to the administrative operations of the Division including strategic planning; budget execution and formulation; space management; records management; equal employment opportunity (EEO) programs; and work schedules. Providing day-to-day assistance and support to the Division's managers and has oversight and managerial responsibility for the Business Management Branch. Supervises and coordinates work assignments, provides authoritative guidance and leadership, and collaborates closely with the Business Manager and other members within and outside the CorpFin Division on strategic planning, budget formulation and execution, records management, space management, and equal employment opportunity (EEO) programs. Performing supervisory duties, such as performance management, training, awards, and recruitment; keeps employees informed regarding the policies, procedures, and goals of the Division as they relate to their work on assigned projects. Serving as a liaison with the offices under the Chief Operating Officer and other Commission Offices as needed to coordinate resources and services to meet Division needs and goals. Providing policy, direction, and resources services for Divisions including review and analysis for current and projected program plans.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector.
