Major Duties:
- You will manage comprehensive product support programs for the acquisition and/or Life Cycle Sustainment Management of integrated product support functions.
- You will serve as the senior logistic authority, Fleet consultant and a product support subject matter expert (SME) in the operation, maintenance, and product support of a wide variety of complex equipment, systems and platforms.
- You will manage, monitor, evaluate and coordinate the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) to ensure achievement of desired outcomes through development and implementation of appropriate product support arrangements.
- You will continuously evaluate progress in attaining program objectives, adjusting performance requirements, and resource allocations to optimize implementation of the product support strategy.
- You will ensure all program requirements have proper product support for relevant systems, system-of-systems, and shipbuilding have support throughout their life cycle.
- You will help develop, justify, and execute the product support budget for product support programs as well as work on any programmatic issues, ensuring product support planning is synchronized with overall program plans.
- You will develop and maintain product support requirements as well as ensure systems product support strategy elements are incorporated into acquisition documentation, procurement specifications, contracts, and engineering documents.
- You will lead the product support definition, transition to, and implementation of next generation systems as the SME in all phases of the product support requirements.
- You will serve as SME to the customer requirements interpretation, develop, plan, and process life cycle product support strategy, establish management structures, deliver services, analyze feedback, and define budget and funding requirements.
- You will establish and maintain liaison with all activities, organizations and commands directly involved with the introduction, maintenance, and support of systems.
- You will participate in the development of correspondence, management plans, instructions, and directives necessary to ensure effective communication among all activities participating in logistic support programs.
- You will coordinate on program matters with the Product Support Manager and Product Support Integrators in other organization, Program Offices, commands and field activities to ensure effective and timely product support of systems.
- You will cultivate a culture of innovation by encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration, through the exchange of ideas and best practices, and help enhance problem-solving capabilities and inspire innovation within the organization.
- You will play a critical role in preserving Team Submarine’s institutional expertise, improving operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing or monitoring acquisition or life cycle sustainment management to lead product support definition and provide advice and guidance for product support.
