SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Major Duties:

  • You will provide technical competence, knowledge and professional services required to sustain a weapon system, associated components, and related support systems.
  • You will lead a team that is responsible to develop new and unique solutions to complex problems.
  • You will approve specific logistics products, such as maintenance Plans, Source Maintenance and Recovery code change requests, Design Change notices (DCN) and other designated products.
  • You will establish and maintain plans to meet program Cost-Wise Readiness and Total Ownership cost goals and objectives.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience: 1) Leading teams in fast-paced, high-impact work environments; 2) Evaluating the logistics impacts of sustaining aviation weapon systems, including air vehicles and propulsion, and provide logistics oversight on engineering and technical products related to logistics support; 3) Analyzing the root causes of fleet issues and implement long-term solutions by collaborating with industry experts, service personnel, and engineers; and 4) Simplifying complex issues into clear, actionable information to support decision-making aimed at improving readiness and reducing costs.
