Salary Range: $137222 - $178388 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Major Duties:

  • You will attend functional/technical program meetings, conferences, and program reviews and become a leader or integral member of the logistics initiative team.
  • You will maintain current program knowledge and status to effectively integrate, justify, and defend program initiatives in numerous technical, functional and program management arenas.
  • You will lead and provide expert analytical advice and guidance to functional managers and senior leaders on DoD and Navy logistics management program processes and development and analysis requirements.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Possessing extensive and broad knowledge of Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) principles, practices, and regulations, particularly as they relate to weapon systems and military logistics.2) Demonstrating ability to lead and manage a team of diverse professionals, including engineers, logistics management specialists and packaging specialists, to include the ability to evaluate performance, plan workload and address employee concerns.3) Exhibiting experience in program management, including the ability to integrate PHS&T requirements with other logistics elements and program requirements. This includes developing strategies and policies, justifying program initiatives, and working effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including DoD, Navy, and private industry representatives.
