Job Summary: Serves as a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) (Chief, Enterprise Data Services) GS-14 in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) HQ location. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the EDS Division Chief, leading the planning, implementation, and oversight of enterprise IT operations, including cybersecurity, data management, server and network infrastructure, and enterprise architecture compliance. Major Duties:
Qualifications: To Qualify for a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) (Chief, Enterprise Data Services) at the GS-14 Level your resume and supporting documentation must support: applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level (or equivalent) by the closing date of this announcement, demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of a Chief, Enterprise Data Services. This experience may have been gained in the private or military sector. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Leading IT operations and cybersecurity teams, including supervising staff responsible for enterprise servers, network storage, application processing systems, and ensuring mission-critical system availability and security. Implementing enterprise IT architecture and modernization initiatives, including designing, integrating, and deploying hardware, software, and network systems in compliance with Enterprise Architecture standards. Directing cybersecurity compliance and risk management efforts, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) operations, account and change management policies, audit logging, and adherence to DoD and Federal cybersecurity requirements. Managing enterprise data services, including database administration, data retention, STIG compliance, lifecycle management, and providing technical guidance to ensure operational alignment across IT systems and projects. Leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects, ensuring integration, performance, and mission success across the Defense Commissary Agency. You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date: Time-in-grade applies to the promotion of current and former federal employees who hold or have held a permanent GS position in either the competitive or excepted service in the previous 52 weeks, including current employees applying under VEOA.
