Salary Range: $126711 - $187093 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (DATAMGT) in the Assistant Secretary of Navy (M&RA) of WASHINGTON DC.

Major Duties:

  • You will manage staff in support of projects which involve data management, functional/user requirements, information system implementation planning, data acquisition, data integration.
  • You will be responsible for the management and administration of MAHRS’ Data Acquisition and Integration Branch including supervision of assigned federal and contractor staff.
  • You will oversee the Total Force Data Hub which unifies data from civilian, military, contractor, and manpower systems.
  • You will identify requirements, proposes alternative options, negotiate schedules with DOD and DON Commands, and monitor implementation to meet established deadlines.
  • You will advise functional and technical systems development teams on what new or enhanced functionalities are needed and feasible. Works to improve data and reporting systems in support of DON missions.

Qualifications: I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: - Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT related experience demonstrating this competency includes leading and conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual CS requirements and Security Technical Guides (STIGs) and managing HBSS environment. - Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT related experience demonstrating this competency includes having superior communication and writing ability to draft emails, and policy papers, correspondence and directives for Senior Executives. - Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT related experience demonstrating this competency includes developing points, briefings, training materials and summits, decision memoranda, oral presentations, and technical, administrative and information papers on MARHS IT systems issues as upon request and/or as required. - Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT related experience demonstrating this competency includes developing points, briefings, training materials and summits, decision memoranda, oral presentations, and technical, administrative and information papers on MARHS IT systems issues as upon request and/or as required. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating Data engineering and integration (i.e. data warehousing, data lakes, data modeling, and/or ETL processes); HR and Human Capital data management; knowledge of federal data management policies and regulations; leading teams, and managing relationships with stakeholders, external partners, and contractors.
