Job Summary: You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the Software Development/Data Analytics Division in the Digital Networks &Applications Department (DNA), Digital Analytics infrastructure and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a Branch Head within the Software Development/Data Analytics Division in the Digital Networks and Applications Department (DNA) providing IT software solutions subject matter expertise.
  • You will establish and execute customer relationship management, work ingestion, financial monitoring, configuration management, and requirements management processes.
  • You will be responsible for organizational planning and execution, evaluation of critical core skills, resource management of staffing, fiscal resource planning and control, and implementation of administrative management practices.
  • You will provide the day-to-day tasking and technical direction/oversight for the efforts of a large civil service and contractor team of technical and functional specialists in the delivery and sustainment of software solutions.
  • You will have close/continuing collaboration with all levels of personnel within the served component, from senior managers to working-level personnel, to facilitate integration of IT solution principals and methods into all aspects of IT operations.
  • You will plan work and prepare performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
  • You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and recommend official performance ratings, giving advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
  • You will take responsibility for resolving problems, including those that require technical expertise/skill in associated analytical methodologies, or collaborative effort or negotiation with other competencies or external organizations.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band (NM-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ability to develop and deliver effective oral and written briefings, presentations, and reports.2) Project management of IT software solutions.3) Customer relationship management, work ingestion and requirements management.4) Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) phases used to build, deliver and maintain high-quality and cost-effective software solutions.5) Broad knowledge of DEVSECOPS, CI/CD and Agile methodology (framework) best practices.6) Understanding of cyber security relevant laws, regulations, policies, principles and risk management processes as it relates to software development.
