Salary Range: $197200 - $209600 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as Principal Technical Manager for the Air Vehicle Engineering Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as Senior acquisition and sustainment expert for the Air Vehicle Department organizational vision and strategic initiatives aligned with overarching Command, NAWCAD and Air Systems Group priorities.
  • You will translate strategic direction and intent into Department and Division level accountabilities (Objectives/Measures) and institutes policy guidelines for strategy realization.
  • You will execute all financial responsibilities for the Air Vehicle Department to include cost and scheduling for NAWCAD, higher echelon funding authorities, executing programs and managing lab investments for the department.
  • You will determine resource requirements and tasks execution of resources to enable successful outcomes for capabilities delivery and sustainment/ fleet support.
  • You will be responsible for developing, executing and defending long-range program plans pertaining to life cycle support for all Air Vehicle Department assigned systems in all pertinent forums.
  • You will lead teams of scientists and engineers from the Navy, other U.S. military services, Allies, and industry to solve complex engineering issues arising from the development, test, and in-service operation of Air Vehicle systems.
  • You will serve as Command technical authority for Air Vehicle Dept disciplines and decisions related to airworthiness, safety, quality, reliability, supportability and design and certification standards.
  • You will represent the Dept of Navy at industry, academia and international meetings for all Air Vehicle Department related events.
  • You will supervise large population of highly diverse, skilled and multidisciplinary teams across the Aeromechanics , Structures, Materials Engineering and Subsystems Divisions and executes administrative duties and supervision of all Division Heads
