Job Summary: About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Defense Health Network Indo-Pacific, at Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Major Duties:

  • Perform Supervisory Duties for Managed Care Division General Schedule and Korean National employees.
  • Responsible Officer for TRICARE contractors, monitor Managed Care Support Contract to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with Data Analysts for available data sources to analyze and evaluate health care delivery programs and trends.
  • Conduct feasibility studies of different clinical service delivery systems and makes recommendations based on the results.
  • Review directives from higher authorities and develops implementation plans.
  • Identify developmental and training needs of employees and provide or make provisions for such development and training.
  • Participate in various briefings or meetings to report analyses results.
  • Identify problems with healthcare access and utilization in both the military and civilian sectors and recommend alternatives to overcome these difficulties.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: providing healthcare administrative guidance to managers regarding directives, policies, or regulations; analyzing effectiveness of healthcare operation performance within areas such as enrollment, patient satisfaction, quality of health measures, healthcare access, or healthcare utilization; recommending program improvements in the health care setting; AND assisting with directing work within a health care environment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
