Job Summary: This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1903000 and is part of the NJ USPFO, National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to direct the development, coordination, and implementation of procedural changes; to direct the performance of management/program analysis for the logistic activities under the jurisdiction of the USPFO.

Major Duties:

  • As a SUPERVISORY GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, GS-2001-11, you will: Performs analysis on a wide range of technical squadron functions by analyzing historical and current data and identifying deficiencies or potential problems during surveillances or staff assistance visits Develops, coordinates, and publishes local supplements and makes recommendations to assist in the development of major command Scrutinizes the operations of all Logistics Readiness functions by conducting internal reconciliations and inventory management. Advises the Supply Management Officer and USPFO on available resources of personnel, equipment and funds to maintain maximum mission effectiveness. Develops draft policies, concepts, and procedures to ensure that an effective operation is maintained using personnel, equipment, and funding to support the mission. Reviews and analyzes operational reports and plans, work schedules, planned requirements, and other data to determine and advise the Supply Management Officer and/or the USPFO.

Qualifications: General Experience: Experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. Specialized Experience: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc.
