SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER

Salary Range: $143913 - $197200 Per Year

Major Duties:

  • You will manage several multi-million dollar weapon programs in various stages within the development and testing phase.
  • You will provide technical direction to Navy warfare centers and UARCs for executing tasking and delivery of software and hardware products for integration into weapon systems.
  • You will establish and execute development contracts for weapon system research and development activities.
  • You will collaborate with the Science and Technology community and international partners through Data Exchange Agreements (DEAs), to align investments for transitioning new technology into weapon systems.
  • You will develop and execute acquisition strategies, budgets and program plans to achieve Fleet and resource sponsor objectives for complex weapon systems.
  • You will coordinate with OPNAV resource sponsors, Fleet representatives and the Intelligence Community to identify capability gaps, and new weapon system operational requirements.
  • You will supervise program office and field activity on-site personnel, providing guidance and direction necessary to achieve mission goals.

Qualifications: In addition to the Basic Education requirement, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer providing technical guidance or advice on problems that affect engineers, Warfare Center personnel and contractors to achieve mission goals.
