Salary Range: $126382 - $193254 Per Year

Major Duties:

  • You will revise existing maintenance tasks and interact with others to develop improved maintenance operations based on top-level engineering expertise.
  • You will keep management apprised on the status of projects and make recommendations for changes as needed.
  • You will provide direction and strategies when distributing maintenance tasks to waterfront specialists, establishing processes for changes when maintenance tasks need revising.
  • You will provide program administration and supervise operations to tailor approaches and optimize planning which support systems engineering projects.
  • You will establish processes to ensure that initiatives covering the latest engineering technological advances as well as state-of-the-art applications pertinent to development of new products or theories are implemented within assigned areas.
  • You will manage associated maintenance configuration and balance goals and objectives with budget concerns and other resources.
  • You will monitor work performance and develop employees through training and work assignments and will establish deadlines and time frames for completion.
  • You will articulate and communicate to staff and team members the assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and program issues under review.
  • You will identify, distribute and balance workload tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and occupational specialization.
  • You will chair and attend conferences representing SURFMEPP at NAVSEA, fleet activities, other naval commands and private contractors.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer developing engineering plans or specifications to facilitate the execution of ship maintenance, repair, or modernization projects or operations.
