Job Summary: You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER in the MARINE CORPS FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Major Duties:

  • You will develop, coordinate and implement programs, policies, regulations and procedures.
  • You will ensure that all personnel follow safe work practices and take corrective action to ensure a safe working environment.
  • You will be responsible for analysis of any particular emergency situation to establish lifesaving medical priorities without medical advice or directions.
  • You will respond and provide supervision as an integral member of a hazardous material team at the hazardous material technician level.
  • You will respond to all medical emergencies as an Emergency Medical Technician.
  • You will respond and provide supervision on all confined space/trench rescues.
  • You will assure the protection and maintenance of all fire apparatus and equipment is maintained in high state of operation readiness.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Directing and training firefighters in the operation of firefighting vehicles and equipment, rescue operations, EMS management and the reduction and/or elimination of potential hazards.
