SUPERVISORY FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Major Duties:

  • You will collect data, analyze requirements, and develop plans and procedures considering the available financial resources, time, limits and manpower constrains.
  • You will plan and schedule work assignments on a long-range basis, projecting budget estimates and allocating resources within Utilities.
  • You will be responsible for the oversight of a number of complex diagnostic testing procedures regarding the safety, reliability, and operational characteristics of electrical, natural gas, portable water, sanitary sewer and other utilities systems.
  • You will monitor the progress of the organization toward goals of production and personnel management objectives; periodically evaluates this progress and makes adjustments as necessary.
  • You will provide guidance, leadership, prioritization, and commitment to ensure maximum resource conservation.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and coordinating facility operations including overseeing operations, maintenance and repair of utility systems such as Water Treatment Plants, including a water storage reservoir, natural gas distribution, electrical distribution to include substations and related equipment, an active sludge Wastewater Treatment Plant and collection system, and a Central Heating Plant and distribution system.
