Job Summary: About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Defense Health Network Indo-Pacific, at Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea.

Major Duties:

  • Facilities Director for all Category 500 facilities and coordinator of all non Category 500 facilities located throughout the entire South Korean peninsula.
  • Facility Director will serve as the primary contracting officer representative (COR) on all facilities contracts if required.
  • Develop approaches to identify workload factors and performance criteria to determine effectiveness of operations.
  • Coordinate special projects that frequently involve facilities space planning, space assignment, space evaluation, and utilization, ensuring an equitable distribution of available resources
  • Perform personnel management tasks for subordinates.
  • Provide strategic planning and conduct continuous review of peninsula facilities and engineering programs consisting of repairs, construction and preventive maintenance.
  • Establish command-wide projects priorities regarding construction, maintenance, and repair of structures and mechanical and electrical systems unique to health care facilities.
  • Plan, program, and advise on the allocation of transition funds for authorized projects.
  • Monitors subordinate activity compliance to The Joint Commission (TJC), focusing on Environment of Care and Other Environmental Considerations standards.
  • Senior manager, principal advisor, and command representative for engineering and facilities management.
  • Formulation of budget estimates for programs in which objectives, work processes, staffing needs, and funding requirement have changed to the extent that substantial revalidation of budgeting is required each year.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: aiding in the development of facility maintenance programs, assisting in coordination of facility life-cycle management activities, recommending improvements to facility maintenance and operations, and assisting with administrative supervision. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
