What You Will Achieve

ROLE SUMMARY

This position is a shop floor leader for Drug Product operations.  The scope includes a large number of direct reports with several different job titles, and responsibilities for 24x7 operation split between multiple team leaders (TL).  Key accountabilities include day to day management of the shop floor personnel and schedule, ensuring all product is produced in a manner meeting safety and quality requirements.  This position will support 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm) operations of the Injectable Packaging Process Centric Team (PCT).

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises employees who are engaged in the production of pharmaceutical or biotechnology products and devices in compliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP) guidelines, and federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsible for effective leadership of work team which includes: managing the daily operation ensuring that applicable safety guidelines and policies are followed; observing that cGMP’s are followed, production SOP’s are upheld, and production schedules are met. The supervisor will work with the PCT to define metrics and strategy to achieve results. The supervisor will act as coach and mentor to transform team into a cohesive, harmonized team. Responsible for coaching colleagues to assure proper development for their success, supporting all colleagues to enable them to reach their full potential, and to provide corrective action when necessary. Supervisor/TL is also responsible to ensure timely performance feedback and appraisals for all team members.

The supervisor has responsibility to deliver results from a work team that spans two or more shifts. The position will be expected to spend sufficient time with supervisors and Production Leads on the other shifts, to successfully carry out the job requirements while adhering to the Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) principles, systems and processes.

Successful candidate must demonstrate personal leadership initiative, judgment and accountability in day-to-day work activities in addition to strong planning/organizational skills. Must possess strong communication skills and demonstrate integrity and cooperation in working with diverse colleagues/groups. Strong technical & training/development skills desired.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a master's degree with 0+ years of experience;
    OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school
    diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience

  • An aptitude for understanding process technology and equipment

  • Proven leadership & decision-making ability

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Job will include standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Occasional lifting may be required.
  • Wearing of production area gowning and personal protective equipment.
  • Frequent use of computer and production related digital systems.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Position supports 2nd shift operation (1500-2330, M-F)
  • Occasional weekend, variable shift, shutdown and holiday coverage

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,300.00 to $133,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
